Highlight: The oldest NHE department of the University (set up in 1984)

Under UGCF-2022 based on NEP 2020, the department is offering B.A. Programme with Nutrition and Health Education (NHE). The department offers NHE as a Major discipline. It also offers Skill Enhancement Courses (SECs) approved by the University. The department has one temporary lab at present and a fully equipped lab is under construction.

The courses of study in NHE lay the foundations for appropriate skill development, academic understanding, entrepreneurship, community engagement and employment. The students have internship opportunities in hospitals and can fetch jobs in organizations working in the field of nutrition, fitness and wellness centres, can engage in nutrition counselling, set up a small-scale food enterprise or can diversify into food journalism.

NHE Association – Nutricore celebrates Poshan Maah every year and organizes lectures and camps to spread awareness about nutrition and health.
