Dr. Basanta Kumar Das

Currently working as an Assistant Professor, Botany Department, Daulat Ram College, University of Delhi, India, from 24th Jan 2023 to till date on permanent basis (level 11). The main focus of my research is on postharvest technology. My favourite teaching subjects are Plant Physiology, Molecular Biology, Industrial and Environmental Biotechnology, Advance Tools in Plant Biology, Genetics and Molecular Biology, Natural Resource Management etc. Before this, I was working in different organizations of repute as Asst Professor (Adhoc) (25th Jan 2022 to 23 Jan 2023), Department of Botany, in Hindu College, University of Delhi, National Consultant (Aug 2021 to 31St Dec 2021), International Rice Research Institute, Philippines, Consultant (1st Dec 2016 to 31st March 2021) in Extension Division, Rainfed Farming system Division, Krishi Bhawan, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Government of India, 110001, Research Associate (From 9th Sep, 2011 to Nov 2016) in Export Division, Directorate of Plant Protection, Quarantine and Storage, Department of Agriculture and Cooperation, Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India, Faridabad, 121101., Post Doctoral Fellow (From 26th June, 2008 to Feb 2010) in National Institute of Horticultural & Herbal Science, Rural Development Administration, Imok-Dong, Suwon, Republic of Korea, and as Research Associate (Postdoc) (From Sep 2007 to Jun 2008 ) in National Research Center on Plant Biotechnology, Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), Pusa campus, New Delhi, India. I completed my Ph.D In 2007 from Dept of Botany, Utkal University, I have published 15 SCOPUS indexed Research papers of International Journals of repute and one Book Chapter in Wiley Books.
