Dr. Malini Sharma
Dr. Malini Sharma is an accomplished academician with over 25 years of teaching and research experience in Economics. Currently serving as an Associate Professor at Daulat Ram College, University of Delhi, she holds a Ph.D. from the University of Mumbai and is an alumna of Delhi School of Economics and Shri Ram College of Commerce. Her areas of specialization include Money & Financial Markets, Indian Economy, Political Economy, Economic Development, Gender Studies, and Game Theory.
Dr. Sharma has held significant academic and administrative roles such as Teacher-in-Charge, Coordinator of the Vidya Vistar Scheme, and Member of the Faculty of Social Sciences. She has actively contributed to curriculum development, quality assurance, and student welfare initiatives. She has also served as the Course Coordinator for industry-oriented programs like “Data Analytics with R” in collaboration with Meghnad Desai Academy of Economics.
Her research contributions span a wide range of interdisciplinary domains. She has authored and co-authored numerous papers and book chapters on behavioral economics, gender, microfinance, pandemic economics, and sustainability, many of which have been published in reputed national and international journals. Dr. Sharma has presented papers at over a dozen international and national conferences and served as session chair and conference organizer.
Recognized for her contributions, she has received awards including the “Pride of India Excellence Award” and the “Wonder Woman Award of Excellence.” She holds several professional memberships and has been actively involved in faculty development, policy advocacy, and public discourse through media publications and webinars.
