Ms. Aakriti Saini

Aakriti Saini is an Assistant Professor in Department of Economics at Daulat Ram College since January 2023. She completed her graduation from Lady Shri Ram College for Women (LSR), University of Delhi and post-graduation from Centre for Economic Studies and Planning (CESP), Jawaharlal Nehru University. She has been awarded M.Phil. degree in Economics of Education and is currently pursuing Ph.D. from Zakir Husain Centre for Educational Studies of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), where her research focuses on changing labour market for graduates and impact of AI. She occasionally presents research paper in international conferences and seminars. She has also contributed a book chapter in an edited volume by Routledge. She aims to contribute significantly in the field of higher education and labour market in India through her research. Her research interest lies in Economics of Education, Labour Economics and Digital Economics.

In addition to her research, Ms. Aakriti Saini is passionate about teaching and mentoring her undergraduate students. She has taught in Satyawati College (Morning), Kamala Nehru College and St. Stephens’ College. With over four years of experience in academia, Ms. Saini specializes in teaching Microeconomics, Macroeconomics and SEC: Basic IT Tools. She has been part of sub-committee for DSE course: Research Methodology for Economics. She is a dedicated teacher who is committed in ensuring academic success and holistic development of her students. She keeps on participating in various FDPs and Orientation programmes for her professional development. She has also served as a resource person in skill development programs on ICT tools for enhanced learning for two consecutive years.
