Dr. Kalpana Arya
I (Dr. Kalpana Arya) have been serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sanskrit at Daulat Ram College, University of Delhi, since January 24, 2023. My area of specialization is Sanskrit Grammar and Vedic Literature. I completed my Ph.D. in Sanskrit from the University of Delhi in 2022, with a thesis titled “Rupavatar ki neevi vyakhya ka sampadan evam adhyayan (sangya-sanhita-vibhakti-avavya-stree pratyayavatar ke sandarbh mein)” and an M.Phil. (2015) on “Rupavatar ki neevi vyakhya ke karak prakran ka samikshatmak adhyayan.” I completed my M.A. in Sanskrit from Dr. Bhimrao University, Agra, Uttar Pradesh in 2013, and qualified the UGC-NET with JRF in Sanskrit in September 2013.
My academic interests include Sanskrit Grammar and Vedic Literature. I have taught various undergraduate courses such as Sanskrit Poetry, Sanskrit Narratology, Sanskrit Epics, Readings from Vedas, Geeta and Upanishad, Culture and Society, and postgraduate courses such as Vaidik Vangmaya. I have also contributed as committee member to the Discipline Society, Sports Board, UG Admission Core Committee, Prospectus Editorial Board (2023–2024), and IQAC (2024–2025) at Daulat Ram College.
I have presented more than ten research papers including “Chandrayan-3” in Journal Shreshtha and “Shrimadbhagvad Geeta me peatipadit vividh yog aur unke sampratik sandarbh” in Journal Vaksudha, both as author. My work has featured in journals such as Jigyasa, Shodh Prerak, Shodh Pravah, Vaak Sudha, Hindi evam Sanskrit Dyibhashiya Masik Patra, and Shadhmasiki Shodhpatrika.
I have presented research articles at various seminars and conferences, including an article on “Challenges of Hindi Education at Global Level” at a One Day International Symposium at Daulat Ram College, DU, and another article on “Role of Vedic Sage in Nation Building” at the International Sanskrit Scholar Conference at Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Rashtriya Sanskrit Vishwavidyalaya.
To enhance my academic and pedagogical expertise, I have completed over fifteen Faculty Development Programmes, In-House Faculty Training Programs, and Refresher Courses covering areas such as Advanced Research Methodology, ICT Tools, and NEP 2020 implementation. These were conducted by institutions like the University of Delhi, PMMMNMTT, UGC-MMTTC, Hansraj College, and Daulat Ram College.
Additionally, I have participated in more than fifteen national and international workshops, webinars, and seminars on themes such as Bhartiya Bhashaon Ka Ujjwal Bhavishya: Sindhi Ke Vishesh Sandarbh Me, Maharshi Dayanand Evam Yoga, International Mother Language Day, Sanskrit-gyaan-vigyaan-sanrakshanam, Bhartiya Gyan Prampara, and Arya Samaj. Alongside teaching and research, I have also been part of organizing committees for key events such as the One Day International Symposium (2024) and International Yoga Day (2024).
