Dr Meenakshi Thakur is Assistant Professor in the department of Zoology ,Daulat Ram College ,University of Delhi .She is associated with BUS (a non profitable NGO ) ,which works for the upliftment of down trodden and the weaker section of society, to provide assistance in scientific as well as socio-economic research, to provide health care for women, infant, old and disabled. She is working for the eradication of Kala-azar from the state of Bihar .With the doctoral thesis on Structural and Biochemical Study of Crystalline lens ,working on different types of cataract and also retinal detachment in association with RP Centre AIIMS ,New Delhi.
