Prof. Darshan
Dr Darshan, at present is a Professor of Chemistry in Daulat Ram College, University of Delhi.She joined Daulat College as lecturer of chemistry in July 2005 on adhoc basis and became permanent on August 2005. She did her graduation and postgraduation in Chemistry from Ramjas College, DU. She has held several administrative posts in the college and University viz Liaison Officer (SC/ST), observer in recruitment of adhoc teachers in the college, Junior teachers representative in governing body, member as well as convener of recruitment committee, Teacher In-charge of the chemistry department in the academic sessions (2011-12, 2018-19, 2024-25), Convener of admission committee (2024-25), convener of grievance admission committee (2025-26), convener of committee of courses (Hons board) of the chemistry department, Tabulation of DU results, member of flying squad, deputy superintendent Theory (category A and B) and practical exams, deputy superintendent of various competitive exams held in the college, observer in UGC-NET exams
She has actively been involved in research activities. Her area of research includes polymers chemistry, nanomaterials, organic synthesis etc. She has twenty-two research articles to her credit in national and international journals of repute. She has completed three Delhi University innovation projects&one navdhara project and working on another navdhara project of the Daulat Ram College. She has presented her work in numerous national and international conferences/seminars. She has organized as well as has been a resource person in conferences/seminar and skill development prog for the students of the college. She has authored three books and contributed chapters in edited books published by Elsevier and Springers. She has been convener/co-convener/member of college associations/societies, ECA, Nodal officer Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav, Fine arts society, Teaching prog committee, time table committee, library, chemphoria-chemistry department association, Indian music and dance society etc.
