2.ADD-ON COURSES ON “LEGAL LITERACY, AWARENESS AND AID
The college is offering Add-on courses on “Legal Literacy, Awareness and Aid” in collaboration with Delhi State Legal Services Authority (DSLSA) and Course Coordinators as Dr. Sonia Mehta, Associate Professor, Department of Philosophy, Daulat Ram College and Honourable Judge, Mr. Abhinav Pandey, Civil Judge/Metropolitan Magistrate, Secretary (Litigation), Delhi State Legal Services Authority. It aims to educate the learners from different disciplines and backgrounds, specifically from non-law field about the theoretical and practical aspects of the legal framework.
The courses on “Legal Literacy, Awareness and Aid” comprise of:
3 Months Certificate Course in 30 hours
3 Months Diploma Course in 30 Hours
3 Months Advance Diploma Course in 40 hours
A learner can do all the 3 courses in a short duration of 9 months including 18 modules. . In this academic session 2023-24, the college will commence with the third batch of the Certificate course and the first batch of Diploma Course. The Certificate course is open to all candidates, with minimum eligibility being passing the Senior Secondary School Examination with 50% marks.
The courses cover highly diverse legal subjects of contemporary import such as Intellectual Property Rights, Cyber Laws, Consumer Laws, Women and Children Laws, Human Rights Law. Moreover, such courses are now integral requirement in the College and University education system and the basic precept of National Education Policy 2020.
The college has successfully conducted the second batch of Certificate Course in the academic session 2022-23, students were enrolled from diverse fields of varying age groups. A 100% passing result was seen, where students had passed the course with flying colours
The Course plan includes sessions delivered by eminent members from judicial and legal fraternity along with specially designed modules focusing on the field visits such as Police Station, Family Court, Jail, Mediation Centre, Civil Court and etc.
